About Us
TESP was formed in 2014 as a response to changes in the skills landscape, notably a desire from the government to put education and training firmly in the hands of employers and industry.
Through the combined resources and expertise of the five core partners – ECA, Joint Industry Board (JIB), NET, SELECT and Unite the Union (supported by partners JTL and the IET) – TESP is able to provide:
- A collective industry partnership to drive action on behalf of
employers and the industry - A coordinated and consistent response to skills issues for the
electrotechnical industry, from entry through to ongoing development
and progression. - A single coherent body to set and maintain standards for the
electrotechnical industry, including specialist groups - A single voice and point of contact for government and stakeholders
on electrotechnical skills issues
