It’s important to develop improved guidance and information on routes into the industry and which qualifications are recognised or valued, so those paying for training or enrolling on a full-time course understand what they are getting.
TESP’s core work in this area:
The government policy landscape is moving in the direction of rationalising qualifications, simplifying choice and providing better information for both candidates and training providers.
TESP is working closely with the IfATE, the main awarding organisations and other partners to review the current Level 2 and Level 3 offer to ensure qualifications and training is fit for purpose. Work is already underway on Experienced Workers Assessment routes and we are also looking at new provision for emerging technologies and zero carbon skills.
